Central Regional Hospital

We are currently recruiting for Housekeepers for all shifts.

The Primary Responsibilities Are But Not Limited To:

• Picking up all trash from the areas assigned to them and disposing of it properly throughout the shift.
• Help with set-up for patient activities.
• Cleaning and sanitizing of patient's rooms, offices, bathrooms, and showers.
• Sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, sanitizing hard surfaces.
• Cleaning walls, woodwork and light fixtures.
• Cleaning and sanitizing of bathrooms, ensuring they are maintained in sanitary conditions, replenishing paper supplies and soap as needed.
• Duties may include physical activities such as moving furniture.

The normal work hours are as follows:

1. 7:00am-3:30pm (including alternating weekends and holidays).
2. 3:00pm - 11:30pm (including alternating weekends and holidays).
3. 11:00pm-7:30am (including alternating weekends and holidays).

These are full-time positions and are eligible for the full State benefits package including health insurance and retirement. This position is designated Mandatory and must report or stay over during adverse weather.

As of January 1, 2025, the new salary range will be $26,851 - $46,991.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Knowledge of cleaning and sanitizing procedures, equipment, and supplies.
• Effective communication skills in English, both written and oral.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds (ADA physical requirements will be discussed during the interview).

Management prefers:

• At least 1 year of housekeeping experience in a hospital environment.
• Alternatively, qualification may be through an equivalent combination of education and experience, as detailed at oshr.nc.gov/experience-guide.
