Job summary

The Oshman Family Jewish Community Center (OFJCC) in Silicon Valley seeks full-time housekeeping staff to maintain a clean, safe environment for visitors and staff. You will perform duties including dusting, mopping, laundry assistance, and moving equipment as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Keep the campus sparkling through cleaning and upkeep.
• Dust and mop floors; move equipment for cleaning as needed.
• Wash walls, windows, doors and baseboards to maintain cleanliness.
• Identify areas needing attention and take initiative to complete tasks.
• Collect and dispose of trash/recycling; assist in laundry area.

The Core Duties

• Keeping our campus sparkling!
• Dusting and mopping floors
• Moving equipment and furniture for cleaning purposes
• Washing walls, windows, doors, furniture, baseboards and other items needed to maintain a clean safe environment for our visitors and staff
• Seeking out areas that require cleaning and take initiative to complete the task
• Collecting and disposing of trash/recycling
• Assisting in the laundry area

The Essentials

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• 1-2 years' experience in similar sized institution preferred
