Job summary

UnityPoint Health - Meriter is seeking a Housekeeper to perform cleaning, stocking, waste removal and floor care in a healthcare setting. You will help maintain a clean, safe, and inviting environment for patients and staff, following infection control practices and safety procedures.

Typical schedule is part-time, with evenings and every-other weekend rotation; 0.5 FTE. Strong attention to detail and ability to read English instructions are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and write English and interpret measuring and hazard instructions on labels.
• Must be able to do basic arithmetic.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize assigned areas to maintain a hygienic environment.
• Move and stock supplies as needed for operations.
• Remove waste and recyclables following safety guidelines.
• Perform floor care including sweeping, mopping and polishing.
• Exchange cubicles and restock as required to maintain clean workspaces.

The Housekeeper position is responsible for a variety of duties such as; cleaning, moving, stocking, waste and recycling removal, floorcare, and exchanging cubicles. The housekeeper must have the ability to perform a wide variety of duties to maintain an environment that is aesthetically pleasing while maintaining maximum bacteriological control. Housekeepers must have the physical and mental ability to perform tasks related to the position.
