Job summary

Nemacolin seeks a friendly, detail-oriented Housekeeping team member to prepare guestrooms and public spaces, provide turndown, and support daily operations with linens and supplies.

You will interact with guests and resort team members, maintaining a safe, polished environment while adhering to luxury standards in a fast-paced setting at Nemacolin.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
  • Prior housekeeping, hospitality, hotel, resort, custodial, or customer service experience preferred but not required.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Reliable transportation required.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to perform physical requirements including standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying supplies.

Responsibilities

  • Clean, reset, replenish, and inspect guestrooms and spaces to standards of cleanliness and luxury service.
  • Maintain guest-facing spaces including lobbies, corridors, restrooms, and public areas.
  • Provide evening turndown and respond to guest requests while protecting privacy.
  • Transport and replenish linens, towels, amenities, and cleaning supplies; keep carts and closets organized.
  • Identify safety or maintenance concerns and report them following procedures.

Job description

Combining attention to detail, genuine hospitality, and pride in presentation, you will help create the clean, polished, and welcoming environment that shapes a guest’s experience at Nemacolin. As part of the Housekeeping Team, you may prepare guestrooms, provide thoughtful evening turndown, maintain pristine public spaces, or support the operation through linen, supplies, and daily housekeeping services. This role offers an opportunity to build practical hospitality expertise, develop a strong foundation in luxury service, and contribute to an environment where every detail communicates care.

What You Will Create
  • Guest-ready accommodations by cleaning, resetting, replenishing, and inspecting guestrooms and assigned spaces to established cleanliness, presentation, and luxury service standards
  • A polished resort environment by maintaining guest-facing spaces, including lobbies, corridors, restrooms, stairwells, recreational areas, and other assigned areas
  • Thoughtful guest experiences by providing evening turndown, responding appropriately to requests, protecting guest privacy and belongings, and communicating needs to the appropriate resort team
  • A well-supported Housekeeping operation by transporting and replenishing linens, towels, amenities, cleaning supplies, and other materials while keeping carts, closets, and workspaces organized and ready
  • A safe, responsive operation by identifying and reporting maintenance concerns, damaged items, lost and found, and other conditions requiring attention while following safety, sanitation, and chemical-handling procedures

  • Opportunities as a Room Attendant, Houseperson, Turndown Attendant, or Public Area Attendant, with assignments based on experience, strengths, and operational needs
  • Room Attendant work focused on preparing and maintaining guestrooms and suites, Houseperson work supporting linen, supplies, refuse removal, and daily Housekeeping needs, Turndown Attendant work focused on evening guestroom preparation and personalized touches, or Public Area Attendant work maintaining polished guest-facing spaces throughout the day
  • An active, hands-on environment requiring extended periods of standing and walking, along with frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying
  • Daily interaction with guests, Housekeeping leadership, and resort teams where professionalism, discretion, communication, and service awareness are essential
  • Flexible scheduling that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak resort periods
