Job summary

Nemacolin is seeking a Butler Steward to create and maintain organized, polished service areas that support exceptional hospitality experiences across The Chateau and The Grand Lodge.

You will aid butler service, in-room dining, and housekeeping operations, ensuring glassware, service pieces, and assets are properly prepared, stored, and maintained for guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required.
  • Minimum two years of customer service or related experience typically required.
  • Previous guest service experience preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to speak English fluently.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to effectively multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to learn and utilize Microsoft Office and HOST programs.
  • Willingness to work varied schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and split shifts based on operational needs.
  • Ability to perform the physical demands associated with maintaining service areas, handling hospitality equipment, and supporting daily operational functions.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain organized, impeccably maintained service areas, washing, sanitizing, and preparing glassware and service pieces.
  • Assist with butler service, in-room dining, and housekeeping to support guest experiences.
  • Support daily operations with tray setup, coffee service preparation, and replenishment of supplies.
  • Keep back-of-house spaces clean and organized, manage waste disposal, and improve presentation.
  • Protect resort resources by reducing breakage and handling hospitality assets with care.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to support cleanliness initiatives and operational priorities.
  • Organize and store incoming coffee service orders, inventories, and materials.
  • Contribute to service excellence by taking on additional responsibilities as needed.

As a Butler Steward, your work directly supports seamless butler service, in-room dining operations, and elevated guest experiences. This role offers the opportunity to develop hospitality expertise, collaborate with multiple departments, and take ownership of the standards that allow service teams to perform at their best. What You Will Create


  • Create an organized and impeccably maintained service environment by washing, sanitizing, polishing, sorting, and preparing the glassware, silverware, trays, coffee service pieces, and other hospitality assets that support daily guest experiences

  • Preserve luxury service standards through the careful handling, organization, and distribution of glassware and service items, ensuring every piece is returned to its proper pantry, department, and location

  • Strengthen operational efficiency by supporting butler service, in-room dining, and housekeeping teams with timely tray setup, coffee service preparation, and the replenishment of service supplies

  • Elevate cleanliness throughout back-of-house spaces by maintaining service landings, managing waste disposal, and identifying opportunities to improve overall presentation and organization

  • Protect resort resources by helping reduce breakage, handling service equipment with care, and maintaining accountability for hospitality assets

  • Foster a culture of collaboration by working closely with departmental leaders to support cleanliness initiatives, operational priorities, and evolving guest service needs

  • Support seamless daily operations through the organization and storage of incoming coffee service orders, inventories, and other assigned materials

  • Contribute wherever needed, embracing additional responsibilities that help maintain service excellence and exceptional guest satisfaction
