Job summary

West Village Post Acute is seeking a dependable Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents, visitors, and staff at our Greenville, SC facility. This full-time role supports healthcare standards and a welcoming atmosphere.

Responsibilities include cleaning public areas, resident rooms, and restrooms; following safety protocols; operating cleaning equipment; and maintaining organized carts and storage areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience in healthcare or long-term care is a plus.
• Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Dependable, organized, and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain public and common areas, including lobbies, restrooms, drinking fountains, and floors.
• Ensure resident rooms and bathrooms are cleaned and sanitized regularly.
• Wipe down handrails to keep them free of dust and debris.
• Remove dirt, dust, and food from walls, mirrors, windows, light fixtures, towel bars, and dispensers.
• Empty trash cans and replace liners as needed.
• Sweep and mop floors throughout the facility.
• Follow safety protocols, including the use of caution signage and proper chemical storage.
• Operate cleaning equipment and use supplies according to manufacturer instructions.
• Keep housekeeping carts, equipment, and storage areas clean, organized, and sanitary.
• Report resident safety concerns immediately to the Director of Housekeeping, Administrator, or Director of Nursing.
• Notify the Director of Housekeeping when supplies need replenishment.
