Job summary

Colonial Downs Group, owned by Churchill Downs Incorporated, is seeking a Team Member to ensure optimum property cleanliness and presentation across Virginia venues.

Responsibilities include cleaning carpets, windows, gaming machines, offices, and restrooms; following checklists; attending pre-shift briefings; and maintaining storage areas with strict safety labeling and protocols. Compensation is $15.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three to six months of experience in related field preferred.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid racing license.

Responsibilities

• Clean carpets, windows, gaming machines, offices, restrooms, and outdoors as directed.
• Follow checklists and guidelines for efficient, clean operation.
• Attend pre-shift briefings and arrive on time.
• Adhere to OSHA and HazCom safety practices.
• Assist with receiving equipment and supplies and coordinate distribution and storage.
• Maintain storage areas, equipment maintenance, and chemical labeling.
• Monitor equipment condition and ensure proper maintenance.
• Ensure storage areas are labeled and orderly.
• Resolve problems within scope or escalate to supervisor as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for ensuring optimum property cleanliness and presentation.

Compensation: $ 15.00 per hour

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for general cleaning such as carpets, windows, gaming machines, offices, restrooms, and outdoors, as directed by the Lead EVS Attendant and/or Facilities Supervisor.
• Follows checklists, guidelines and for efficient and clean operation of assigned areas.
• Attends and participates in pre-shift briefings, arrive on time.
• Adheres to OSHA and Hazcom safe work practices.
• Assists with receiving equipment and supplies and coordinating distribution and storage.
• Assists in the maintenance of all storage areas, equipment maintenance, and chemical labeling.
• Monitors equipment condition and uses all equipment correctly to ensure that is it properly maintained.
• Ensures that all storage areas are labeled and maintained in good order.
• Resolves problems that are within the position's scope of authority and recommends courses of action to resolve problems that are beyond the scope of authority to the position’s supervisor.
• Performs other related duties as assigned

• Ability to multitask in a high-volume hospitality environment

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three to six months of experience in related field preferred.
• Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid racing license.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS

• The Team Member will be required to stand and walk for the duration of the shift.

• The Team Member may be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
• The Team Member may be required to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
• The work environment may vary in levels of crowds, noise, flashing lights, and smoke, depending on the assigned station and guest volume.
