Job summary

Avera McKennan Hospital is seeking a PRN Housekeeper for evening shifts (3:00pm-11:30pm) in Sioux Falls, SD. The role includes maintaining a clean environment across patient rooms, nurse stations and common areas, with duties that may include dusting, washing, mopping and linen delivery.

Must have high school education or GED and basic computer knowledge. Position requires a courteous team player with ability to work every other weekend or holiday as needed and to adhere to safety and

• Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a clean environment in patient rooms, terminals, offices, nurse's stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchens, elevators and lobby areas.
• Participates in all cleaning activities including dusting, washing, drying, mopping, vacuuming and trash removal.
• Keeps assigned area stocked with supplies and maintains stock on cleaning carts.
• Sorts, washes and delivers linens as needed.

These areas may include, but not be limited to: patient rooms, terminals, offices, nurse's stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, and lobby areas.Participates in all cleaning activities as assigned. These may include, but not be limited to: dusting, washing, drying, mopping, vacuuming, moving furniture, and emptying trash.Keeps assigned area fully stocked with supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, etc.Responsible for maintaining stock on individual cleaning carts including wet and dry supplies.Maintain good customer relations at all times.May sort, wash, and accurately deliver linens.Essential QualificationsThe individual must be able to work the hours specified.
