Job summary

Avera on Louise Health Campus in Sioux Falls is seeking a part-time housekeeper to help maintain a clean environment in patient rooms, terminals, offices, nurse's stations, lounges, and lobby areas. This PRN role offers Monday–Friday 3:00pm–11:30pm shifts with every other weekend/holiday and requires reliability and attention to detail.

Responsibilities include dusting, washing, mopping, stocking supplies, and ensuring good customer relations with staff and patients.

• Maintains a clean/neat environment in patient rooms, terminals, offices, nurse's stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, and lobby areas.
• Participates in all cleaning activities: dusting, washing, drying, mopping, vacuuming, moving furniture, and trash removal.
• Keeps assigned area stocked with supplies (paper towels, toilet paper, etc.).
• Maintains stock on cleaning carts with wet and dry supplies.
• Maintain good customer relations at all times.
• May sort, wash, and deliver linens.

A Brief Overview

What You Will Do

• Maintains a clean/neat environment in working area. These areas may include, but not be limited to: patient rooms, terminals, offices, nurse's stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, and lobby areas.
• Participates in all cleaning activities as assigned. These may include, but not be limited to: dusting, washing, drying, mopping, vacuuming, moving furniture, and emptying trash.
• Keeps assigned area fully stocked with supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, etc.
• Responsible for maintaining stock on individual cleaning carts including wet and dry supplies.
• Maintain good customer relations at all times.
• May sort, wash, and accurately deliver linens.

The individual must be able to work the hours specified. Preferred Education, License/Certification, Or Work Experience

• High School or GED Equivalent
• One to three months related experience
