Job summary

The Heritage at Northern Hills Assisted Living in Sioux City, IA is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain resident apartments and common areas, following care plans to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.

You will build positive relationships with residents and families while assisting those with limited mobility and handling light lifting as needed. The role offers opportunities for training and growth within Heritage Communities.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of housekeeping experience in a senior living or related setting.
• Compassionate communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to assist residents with limited mobility and lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Clean resident apartments thoroughly per service plans (floors, furniture, kitchens, bathrooms, trash).
• Maintain cleanliness of common areas and inspect resident refrigerators for expired food.

What You’ll Do:

As a Housekeeper, you’ll play a hands‑on role in improving the lives of our residents by:

• Cleaning resident apartments thoroughly, including floors, furniture, kitchens, bathrooms, and trash removal, following service plans.
• Maintaining cleanliness and order in common areas, such as floors, furniture, kitchens, bathrooms, and elevators, and inspecting resident refrigerators for expired food.
• Building positive relationships with residents, their families, and team members.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For:

• 1+ year of housekeeping experience in a senior living or related industry (preferred).
• Compassionate communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to assist those with limited mobility and lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs.
