Aerotek is hiring for a Janitorial Worker in Nashville, TN. The role supports hospital cleanliness to ensure a hygienic environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

The position offers a guaranteed 40-hour work week with shifts on the 1st and 2nd shift, including weekends. Duties include bed care, bathroom sanitation, floor care, and surface cleaning, with physical requirements up to 50 lbs lifting.

Job Title: Janitorial Worker

Job Description

This position involves all responsibilities associated with maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the hospital. The role is crucial for ensuring a hygienic environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Strip beds, make beds, and transport bedding to the laundry bins.

• Clean bathrooms thoroughly.

• Sweep, mop, and wax floors.

• Perform high and low dusting.

• Clean, wipe, and sanitize surfaces.

• Frequently lift up to 50 lbs.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 6 months of cleaning experience in schools, hospitals, or any janitorial setting.

• Proficiency in janitorial and custodial tasks.

• Experience in hospital or commercial cleaning is highly desirable.

• Competency in floor care and floor cleaning.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working in a hospital setting is a significant advantage.

• Prior experience in a janitorial or custodial role within a commercial building is ideal.

Work Environment

We currently have three openings on the 1st shift and four openings on the 2nd shift. 2nd shift workers must train on the 1st shift for one week. Shifts are from 7:00 am 3:30 pm (1st shift) and 2:30 pm 11:00 pm (2nd shift). Team members need to be available to work every other weekend. Uniform requirements include black scrubs and recommended non-slip shoes.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nashville, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
