Job summary

Avera Grassland Campus in Mitchell, SD is hiring for a full-time environmental services role with a 3:30pm-11:30pm shift and every 4th weekend. The position involves maintaining a clean environment across patient rooms, nurse stations, lounges, and public areas.

You will participate in cleaning tasks, restock supplies, and support hospital operations. Preferred candidates have a High School diploma or GED and 1–3 months related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains a clean and neat environment in working area including patient rooms, terminals, offices, nurse's stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators and lobby areas.
  • Participates in all cleaning activities such as dusting, washing, drying, mopping, vacuuming, moving furniture and trash.
  • Keeps assigned area stocked with supplies (paper towels, toilet paper, etc.).
  • Maintains stock on cleaning carts with wet and dry supplies.
  • Maintains good customer relations at all times.
  • Sorts, washes, and delivers linens as needed.

A Brief Overview

Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment in assigned areas which may include, but not be limited to: patient rooms, terminals, offices, nurse's stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, and lobby areas.

What you will do
  • Maintains a clean/neat environment in working area. These areas may include, but not be limited to: patient rooms, terminals, offices, nurse's stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, and lobby areas.

  • Participates in all cleaning activities as assigned. These may include, but not be limited to: dusting, washing, drying, mopping, vacuuming, moving furniture, and emptying trash.

  • Keeps assigned area fully stocked with supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, etc.

  • Responsible for maintaining stock on individual cleaning carts including wet and dry supplies.

  • Maintain good customer relations at all times.

  • May sort, wash, and accurately deliver linens.

Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:
