Job summary

Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital is seeking a Housekeeper to provide daily cleaning of patient rooms and hospital areas. The role involves patient interaction, discharge cleaning, room setup, and maintaining a safe, sanitary environment for patients and families.

Full-time role (40 hours), 4:00 PM–12:30 AM, rotating holidays and weekends. High school diploma or GED required; no prior experience required, though <2 years is preferred. Benefits and total rewards are available.

• Performs routine janitorial and cleaning activities in patient, public and common areas using prescribed, established cleaning process.

• Keeps equipment clean and functional according to procedure.
• Notifies supervisor or manager of any equipment, furniture, or building fixtures that are in need of maintenance.

Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital offers highly specialized surgical and medical services in an intimate environment and is known for outstanding patient care. Role Purpose

The Housekeeper is an environmental services worker who is responsible for daily housekeeping services as assigned, using procedures as outlined by the hospital or service organization.
