Job summary

Hampton Inn Lancaster is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join our hotel operations. This full-time role requires cleaning guest rooms to high standards, restocking supplies, and reporting maintenance needs to the Front Desk.

You will work under the Head Housekeeper to ensure guest rooms are clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The position offers an hourly pay of $13.00–$14.00 and benefits including hotel discounts and bonuses.

Responsibilities

• Stock cart and maintain organization.
• Clean guest rooms to hotel standards within 20 minutes.
• Make beds and arrange furniture as needed.
• Operate and maintain vacuum and cleaning equipment.
• Record room status on housekeeping sheets.
• Provide guest supplies to rooms and refresh supplies.
• Empty and clean garbage; manage waste in designated areas.
• Relay maintenance issues to Front Desk and Head Housekeeper.
• Wear neat uniform with name tag at all times.
• Follow all policies and safety procedures as outlined in handbook.

Employment type: Full time

Pay rate: $13.00 - $14.00 / hour.

Reporting to: Head Housekeeper

Required tasks:

• Stock cart and maintain in a neat and organized shape at all times.
• Completely service guest rooms in 20 minutes or less according to hotel standards: including cleaning floors, walls, and all other surfaces using specified chemicals and equipment and other duties/tasks as assigned by the GM and/or Head Housekeeper.
• Make bed, move furniture.
• Operate and maintain vacuum.
• Record room status on Housekeeping Assignment sheet.
• Place guest supplies in guest rooms.
• Empty and clean garbage cans.
• Clean and maintain equipment.
• Relay maintenance information to Front Desk.
• Must be in neat and clean uniform with name tag.
• Follow all policies & procedures as outlined in the employee handbook.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Required skills:

• Ability to communicate with guests courteously and report guest comments and/or concerns to direct supervisor or to Front Desk.
