Job summary

Johns Island Post Acute is a 132-bed skilled nursing and rehab facility on Johns Island, SC, seeking a dedicated housekeeper to maintain clean, safe environments for residents and staff. You will clean public areas and resident rooms, support hygiene standards, and provide friendly service to residents and families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a Long-Term Care or healthcare setting is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all public and common areas throughout the day (lobby, restrooms, floors).
• Clean and maintain resident rooms and bathrooms.
• Keep handrails clean and debris-free.
• Dust, clean walls, mirrors, windows, fixtures, and towel bars.
• Empty trash and replace liners.
• Sweep and mop floors throughout shifts.
• Follow safety measures with signage and store chemicals away from residents.
• Maintain housekeeping carts, equipment, and storage areas clean and orderly.
• Demonstrate excellent customer skills and a positive attitude.

Johns Island Post Acute is a gorgeous 132-bed skilled nursing and rehab facility in Johns Island SC, just 10 minutes away from historic downtown Charleston. Successful Candidates Will Have The Following

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in a Long-Term Care or healthcare setting would be beneficial but not essential

HOUSEKEEPING

Essential Duties:

• Maintain all public and common areas throughout the day including lobby, restrooms, drinking fountains and floors.
• Maintain the cleanliness of resident rooms and bathrooms.
• Maintain handrails to ensure they are clean and free of debris.
• Clean and remove dust, dirt or food off walls, mirrors, windows, light fixtures. towel bars, towel dispensers.
• Empty trash cans and replace liners.
• Sweep and mop floors.
• Utilize proper safety measures when cleaning, including the use of caution signage and keeping supplies and chemicals out of reach of the residents.
• Maintain housekeeping carts, equipment and storage areas in a safe, sanitary, clean and orderly manner.
• Excellent customer skills and positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently or with a team
• Ability to pass a drug screen & federal background check
