Job summary

Badlands National Park is seeking housekeeping staff to maintain guest rooms and public areas in accordance with Quality Standards. The role emphasizes attentive service and physical stamina in a unique park environment.

Familiarity with ISO policies is a plus. Workcampers are welcome, and employee housing and benefits are available for eligible staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• One year housekeeping experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service in guest rooms and public areas.
• Follow detailed duties worksheet from Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Clean check-outs and stay-overs, change sheets and towels, empty trash, dust, scrub, vacuum, and wax as required.
• Report damaged or missing items to Housekeeping Supervisor and submit lost and found items to Management.
• Notify Management and Maintenance of any repairs.
• Stock cart daily with cleaning supplies, guest supplies and linens; alert supervisor if supplies run low.
• Unload cart of dirty linens and trash at end of shift.
• Assist in unloading linens delivered bi-weekly.
• Perform weekly, monthly and quarterly cleaning projects as assigned.
• Understand and adhere to ISO Environmental & Quality policies and initiatives.

Summary of Position

Provide excellent customer service to guest rooms and public areas in accordance with Quality Standards

Responsibilities

• Follows detailed duties worksheet assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor
• Clean check-outs and stay-overs, including; changing sheets and towels, emptying trash, dusting, scrubbing, vacuuming and waxing according to procedures
• Report damaged or missing items to the Housekeeping Supervisor, turn in all lost and found items to Management
• Notify Management and Maintenance of any repairs
• Stock personal cart daily with cleaning supplies, guest supplies and linens, alert supervisor if supplies run low
• Unload cart of dirty linens and trash at end of shift
• Assist in the unloading of linens (delivered by truck) bi-weekly
• Weekly, monthly and quarterly cleaning projects as assigned
• Understand Company’s ISO (Environmental & Quality) management systems, policies, goals, and initiatives and meet the specific responsibilities within these areas.
• Other duties per Duties Checklist and as assigned

Position Requirements

• Attention to detail
• Must be able to work a variety of day, night, weekend, holiday shifts
• Ability to work independently
• Must be able to spend the majority of the day walking, twisting, bending, pushing and pulling
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and carry up to 25 lbs. with frequent bending, twisting and squatting required.

Education and Experience

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required

Experience: One (1) year of housekeeping experience preferred Resort/National Park experience preferred
