Woodhaven Court is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join our team and ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of our facility. This role helps create a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our residents.

Essential duties include cleaning, laundry, waste and inventory management, plus safety protocols. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and a compassionate approach to elder care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred; knowledge of cleaning techniques, products and safety protocols.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning & Maintenance: General cleaning of common areas and resident rooms including vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing, and mopping.
• Laundry Services: Wash, fold and distribute laundry for residents and staff as needed.
• Waste Management: Dispose of trash and recycling properly and maintain clean waste areas.
• Inventory Management: Restock cleaning supplies and equipment; alert management to shortages or issues.
• Safety & Sanitation: Adhere to safety protocols to maintain a hygienic environment.
• Team Collaboration: Work with staff to keep the facility well-maintained and residents comfortable.
• Resident Engagement: Interact with residents in a friendly and respectful manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Cleaning & Maintenance: Perform general cleaning duties, including vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing, and mopping common areas, resident rooms, and restrooms to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Laundry Services: Assist with washing, folding, and distributing laundry for residents and staff as needed.
• Waste Management: Dispose of trash and recycling materials properly, ensuring that waste areas are clean and organized.
• Inventory Management: Assist with maintaining and restocking cleaning supplies and equipment. Notify management of any supply shortages or equipment issues.
• Safety & Sanitation: Follow all safety and sanitation protocols to ensure a clean, hygienic, and safe environment for residents and staff.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other staff members to ensure that the facility is well-maintained and residents are comfortable.
• Resident Engagement: Engage with residents in a friendly and respectful manner, creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
