Job summary

Windsor House is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join our team and ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of our facility for our residents.

You will perform general cleaning, laundry, waste management, and inventory tasks, while collaborating with staff to maintain a safe, welcoming environment. A high school diploma or equivalent is required; prior housekeeping experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques and safety protocols.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Compassion for and a desire to work with the elderly.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Clean common areas, resident rooms, and restrooms to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Assist with laundry services for residents and staff as needed.
• Dispose of trash and recycling materials properly and keep waste areas organized.
• Maintain and restock cleaning supplies and equipment; report shortages or issues.
• Follow all safety and sanitation protocols to ensure resident safety.
• Collaborate with other staff to keep the facility well-maintained and welcoming for residents.
• Engage with residents in a friendly and respectful manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Cleaning & Maintenance: Perform general cleaning duties, including vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing, and mopping common areas, resident rooms, and restrooms to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Laundry Services: Assist with washing, folding, and distributing laundry for residents and staff as needed.
• Waste Management: Dispose of trash and recycling materials properly, ensuring that waste areas are clean and organized.
• Inventory Management: Assist with maintaining and restocking cleaning supplies and equipment. Notify management of any supply shortages or equipment issues.
• Safety & Sanitation: Follow all safety and sanitation protocols to ensure a clean, hygienic, and safe environment for residents and staff.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other staff members to ensure that the facility is well-maintained and residents are comfortable.
• Resident Engagement: Engage with residents in a friendly and respectful manner, creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
