Job summary

Woodhaven Court in North Carolina is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join our team and ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of our facility.

You will perform general cleaning duties, laundry assistance, waste management, and collaborate with staff to maintain a safe, welcoming environment for residents. Prior housekeeping or janitorial experience and attention to detail are valued; we invite compassionate individuals who enjoy working with seniors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and safety protocols.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Compassion for and a desire to work with the elderly.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning & Maintenance: Perform general cleaning duties, including vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing, and mopping common areas, resident rooms, and restrooms to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Laundry Services: Assist with washing, folding, and distributing laundry for residents and staff as needed.
• Waste Management: Dispose of trash and recycling materials properly, ensuring that waste areas are clean and organized.
• Inventory Management: Assist with maintaining and restocking cleaning supplies and equipment. Notify management of any supply shortages or equipment issues.
• Safety & Sanitation: Follow all safety and sanitation protocols to ensure a clean, hygienic, and safe environment for residents and staff.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other staff members to ensure that the facility is well-maintained and residents are comfortable.
• Resident Engagement: Engage with residents in a friendly and respectful manner, creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
