The Southwood is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join our team and ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of our facility for residents. You will perform general cleaning, laundry, waste disposal, and collaborate with staff to create a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning & Maintenance: Perform general cleaning duties in common areas, resident rooms, and restrooms to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Laundry Services: Assist with washing, folding, and distributing laundry for residents and staff as needed.
• Waste Management: Dispose of trash and recycling materials properly, ensuring waste areas are clean and organized.
• Inventory Management: Restock cleaning supplies and equipment; notify management of shortages or issues.
• Safety & Sanitation: Follow all safety and sanitation protocols to maintain a hygienic environment.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with staff to ensure facility upkeep and resident comfort.
• Resident Engagement: Engage with residents in a friendly and respectful manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Cleaning & Maintenance: Perform general cleaning duties, including vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing, and mopping common areas, resident rooms, and restrooms to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Laundry Services: Assist with washing, folding, and distributing laundry for residents and staff as needed.
• Waste Management: Dispose of trash and recycling materials properly, ensuring that waste areas are clean and organized.
• Inventory Management: Assist with maintaining and restocking cleaning supplies and equipment. Notify management of any supply shortages or equipment issues.
• Safety & Sanitation: Follow all safety and sanitation protocols to ensure a clean, hygienic, and safe environment for residents and staff.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other staff members to ensure that the facility is well-maintained and residents are comfortable.
• Resident Engagement: Engage with residents in a friendly and respectful manner, creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience (preferred)
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and safety protocols
