Job summary

Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital is seeking a dedicated Environmental Services team member to maintain a sanitary, safe environment and enhance the facility’s appearance. This full-time position entails cleaning, floor care, and timely response to spills and emergencies on a daily basis.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, are at least 18, and can work under limited supervision in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

Job Responsibilities

• Performs all cleaning, floor care, and project assignments within area of responsibility and other assigned areas daily, including collecting and removing trash, changing bed linens, and sanitizing all surfaces.
• Stocks paper items and other supplies in areas as necessary or designated.
• Maintains cart and equipment in clean, working condition and stores in appropriate storage area when finished with shift.
• Responds rapidly and thoroughly to emergencies, special needs, spills, etc.
• Assists other associates as necessary.

Skills and Attributes

• Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment.
• Works under limited supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
