Job summary

Otterbein SeniorLife is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe environment for residents, guests and staff. The role emphasizes compassionate service, teamwork, and timely, friendly care.

Starting rate is $15.50 per hour with a standard schedule and weekend/holiday rotation. Benefits include medical, vision, dental, PTO, life insurance, 401(k) with match, and opportunities for professional growth within our Ohio campuses.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous housekeeping and/or laundry experience in long-term care preferred.
• Positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Cleans furnishings, fixtures, and surfaces in assigned areas.
• Cleans floors by sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping.
• Empties trash and maintains sanitary conditions.
• Reports maintenance concerns to supervisor.
• Interacts positively with residents, family members, guests and staff.
• Follows policies to assure quality resident care.
• Coordinates and cooperates with other team members.
• Maintains resident rights and confidentiality.

Otterbein has an employment opportunity for a Full-Time Housekeeper. The Housekeepers provide a clean, safe environment for residents, guests and employees. They enhance the lives and nurture the growth of older persons by providing high quality service in a cheerful, timely manner and by communicating, coordinating and cooperating with others to attain goals. Starting rate: $15.50

Positions: 8 a.m-4:30 p.m., 40 hours per week, on Saturday rotation (about once a month) (8 a.m. – 3 p.m.) and on holiday rotation

Responsibilities:

• Cleans furnishings, fixtures, ledges, windows, heating/cooling units, etc. by washing, dusting, or polishing as scheduled or assigned
• Cleans floors by sweeping, vacuuming, dust mopping or damp/wet mopping as scheduled or assigned
• Empties trash, cleans trash receptacles and transports trash to proper area
• Reports burned out light bulbs, broken or defective equipment, other maintenance concerns, pest control problems and other unsafe or unsanitary conditions to supervisor
• Interacts positively with residents, family members, guests and personnel
• Follows all established policies, procedures and regulations to assure that quality resident care is maintained
• Communicates, coordinates and cooperates with other team members
• Maintains resident rights and confidentiality

Qualifications

Education: High School diploma or equivalent

Experience: Previous Housekeeping and/or Laundry experience in long term care preferred; positive attitude
