Job summary

Otterbein SeniorLife in Ohio is hiring a Full-Time Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe environment for residents, guests and staff. You will contribute to high-quality service with cheerful, timely interactions and by coordinating with others to meet daily goals.

Starting pay is $15.50 per hour and increases with experience. Benefits include medical insurance, vision and dental, life insurance, a 401(k) match, PTO, paid holidays, and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent
• Experience: Previous Housekeeping and/or laundry experience in long term care preferred; positive attitude
• Must be able to read and follow schedules and instructions

Responsibilities

• Cleans furnishings, fixtures, ledges, windows, heating/cooling units, etc. by washing, dusting, or polishing as scheduled or assigned
• Cleans floors by sweeping, vacuuming, dust mopping or damp/wet mopping as scheduled or assigned
• Empties trash, cleans trash receptacles and transports trash to proper area
• Reports burned out light bulbs, broken or defective equipment, other maintenance concerns, pest control problems and other unsafe or unsanitary conditions to supervisor
• Interacts positively with residents, family members, guests and personnel
• Follows all established policies, procedures and regulations to assure that quality resident care is maintained
• Communicates, coordinates and cooperates with other team members
• Maintains resident rights and confidentiality

Shifts: Full Time 7a - 3:30p
