Otterbein SeniorLife in Ohio is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe environment for residents, guests and staff in Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing. You will help create a cheerful, well-kept atmosphere and work as part of a compassionate caregiving team.

The role features a 40-hour week, 8am–4pm schedule, with every 3rd weekend included. Training and opportunities for internal growth are provided within a supportive community.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous housekeeping or laundry in long-term care preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Cleans furnishings, fixtures, ledges, windows and floors as scheduled.
• Empties trash and transports to proper area.
• Reports maintenance concerns and safety issues to supervisor.
• Interacts positively with residents, family members, guests, and staff.
• Maintains resident rights and confidentiality.

The housekeepers provide a clean, safe environment for residents, guests and employees.They enhance the lives and nurture the growth of older persons by providing high quality service in a cheerful, timely manner and by communicating, coordinating, and cooperating with others to attain goals. Full Time 8am-4pm (40 hours per week), includes every 3rd weekend. The full-time position is for cleaning in our licensed care areas of Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Cleans furnishings, fixtures, ledges, windows, heating/cooling units, etc. by washing, dusting, or polishing as scheduled or assigned.
• Cleans floors by sweeping, vacuuming, dust mopping, or damp/wet mopping as scheduled or assigned.
• Empties trash, cleans trash receptacles, and transports trash to proper area.
• Reports burned out light bulbs, broken or defective equipment, other maintenance concerns, pest control problems, and other unsafe or unsanitary conditions to supervisor.
• Interacts positively with residents, family members, guests, and personnel.
• Follows all established policies, procedures andregulations to assure that quality resident care is maintained.
• Communicates, coordinates, and cooperates with other team members.
• Maintains resident rights and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or GED preferred
• Experience:Previous Housekeeping and/or Laundryin long term care preferred, but not required
