Job summary

Bremerton Trails Post Acute is seeking a Housekeeper to keep resident areas clean, safe, and welcoming. You will help maintain a clean, comfortable environment as part of quality care, with pay at $17.50–$19/hour based on experience.

No prior experience is required—we’ll train you. This role offers steady hours, a clear routine, and a supportive team focused on resident wellbeing and a respectful workplace.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• No prior experience required; housekeeping experience in long-term care a plus
• Knowledge of basic cleaning and disinfecting principles
• Strong communication skills and a courteous, cooperative attitude
• Dependability and a neat, professional appearance
• Ability to follow directions and complete tasks independently

Responsibilities

• Clean resident rooms and bathrooms daily per facility procedures
• Maintain other facility areas (tub/shower rooms, offices, kitchen, halls)
• Treat residents with dignity and respect in all interactions
• Follow infection control policies and procedures
• Secure cleaning chemicals per safety protocol
• Report needed repairs to supervisor
• Assist with weekly/monthly deep-cleaning projects
• Respond to emergencies or disasters as needed
• Attend in-service training and staff meetings

What You'll Do

• Clean resident rooms and bathrooms daily per facility procedures, respecting each resident's belongings and preferences

• Clean and maintain other facility areas as assigned (tub/shower rooms, offices, kitchen, day rooms, activity rooms, halls, lobby, utility rooms, nurses' stations, linen areas)

• Treat residents with dignity and respect in all interactions

• Follow infection control policies and procedures

• Properly secure cleaning chemicals per safety protocol

• Promptly report needed repairs to your supervisor

• Assist with weekly/monthly deep-cleaning projects as needed

• Respond appropriately in emergencies or disaster situations

• Attend required in-service training and staff meetings
