Job summary

Samaritan's Purse is seeking a Housekeeper to join the Facilities team in Boone, NC. The role involves cleaning buildings, offices, and restrooms, with a second-shift schedule from 9:00am to 5:30pm, and a focus on maintaining a clean, safe environment in line with the organization’s faith-based mission.

The position offers a competitive benefits package, on-site medical clinic, insurance coverage, and paid time off. A high school diploma or GED and housekeeping experience are preferred.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED and 3 months related housekeeping experience or training; or equivalent education/experience.
General knowledge of basic cleaning and ability to learn Samaritans Purse cleaning standards.
Ability to solve simple problems that may arise during a workday.
General knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and be a consistent witness for Jesus Christ.
Clean buildings, offices, and restrooms by sweeping, dusting, mopping, scrubbing, and caring for floors.
Clean furniture, carpets, windows, blinds, doors, jambs, refrigerators, sinks, toilets, light fixtures, countertops, and windows.
Empty sanitary receptacles and remove trash from all buildings.
Assist with annual spring cleaning of all buildings.
Restock supplies and refill soap and tissue dispensers.
Other duties as assigned
