Qualifications

• Less than 1 year of housekeeping experience required.
• 1 year of housekeeping experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs housekeeping duties in resident rooms, public areas and restrooms.
• Vacuums, cleans tile and glass surfaces, and maintains cleanliness of carts and closets.
• Replenishes supplies including soap, towels and toilet paper.
• Assists with special events and room changes as needed.
• Maintains proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
• Assists with grounds cleanup when requested.

Martin Luther Care Center is looking for a Housekeeper to provide a clean, safe and cheerful environment for residents, staff and visitors at our senior assited living and skilled nursing care facility in Bloomington, MN.

Full-time Housekeeping position includes:

• Casual/On-Call Schedule
• Day shift
• Weekends as needed

Martin Luther Care Center, part of the Martin Luther Senior Living Campus is located in East Bloomington, near woodlands/wetlands and along the Minnesota River Bluffs. Responsibilities

• Performs housekeeping duties:
• Vacuums
• Changes water bucket or mop head as trained
• Uses wet floor signs
• Maintains housekeeping cart and closet
• Replenishes supplies – soap, paper towels, and toilet paper
• Cleans tile/walls, windows, and glass doors
• Ensures chemicals are locked up
• Cleans public areas, resident rooms, and restrooms:
• Cleans drinking fountains with disinfectant
• Replenishes supplies – soap, paper towels, and toilet paper
• Vacuums carpets
• Empties and washes waste baskets with disinfectant when needed
• Assists with emergency spills as needed
• Maintains clean linen carts
• Assists with grounds cleanup when requested
• Performs other duties as assigned. This may include but is not limited to:
• Room changes
• Cleaning wheel chairs
• Assisting with special events
