Job summary

Martin Luther Care Center in Bloomington, MN is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe, and cheerful environment for residents, staff and visitors at our senior assisted living and skilled nursing facility. This full-time role features a day shift and an on-call, casual schedule.

You will perform duties across resident rooms and public areas, replenish supplies, handle cleaning of tile, glass, and carpets, and assist with special events as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping in senior living or healthcare settings is helpful.
• Ability to perform cleaning duties across resident rooms and common areas.
• Willingness to work day shift andCasual/On-Call schedule as needed.

Responsibilities

• Vacuums and cleans resident rooms and public areas.
• Maintains housekeeping cart and stocking supplies.

Full-time Housekeeping Position Includes

• Casual/On-Call Schedule
• Day shift
• Weekends as needed

Martin Luther Care Center, part of the Martin Luther Senior Living Campus is located in East Bloomington, near woodlands/wetlands and along the Minnesota River Bluffs. Managed by Ebenezer, we offer 137 units between our Skilled Nursing, Memory Care and Transitional Care. We have an outstanding team of tenured staff. The only thing missing is YOU! Responsibilities

• Performs housekeeping duties:
• Vacuums
• Changes water bucket or mop head as trained
• Uses wet floor signs
• Maintains housekeeping cart and closet
• Replenishes supplies - soap, paper towels, and toilet paper
• Cleans tile/walls, windows, and glass doors
• Ensures chemicals are locked up
• Cleans public areas, resident rooms, and restrooms:
• Cleans drinking fountains with disinfectant
• Replenishes supplies - soap, paper towels, and toilet paper
• Vacuums carpets
• Empties and washes waste baskets with disinfectant when needed
• Assists with emergency spills as needed
• Maintains clean linen carts
• Assists with grounds cleanup when requested
• Performs other duties as assigned. This may include but is not limited to:
• Room changes
• Cleaning wheel chairs
• Assisting with special events
