Job summary

Experience Senior Living Team in Akron is seeking an Environmental Services Associate to join our dedicated team and help residents live life to the fullest. You will clean resident apartments and public areas, perform laundry duties, stock supplies, and assist with safety and sanitation across the community.

Responsibilities

• Cleans public areas and resident’s apartments, including bathrooms, kitchens, patios & windows, floors, furniture and common areas.
• Distributes laundered articles and linens.
• Changes beds.
• Cleaning public restrooms and replenishing supplies as needed.
• Sweeping and scrubbing floors; vacuuming rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture.
• Dusting furniture and equipment.
• Polishing metalwork.
• Washing walls, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills.
• Washing and drying resident laundry in provided appliances.
• Folding and/or hanging laundry; distributing laundered articles and linens.
• Changing bed linens.
• Maintains resident laundry areas; mopping floors and washing walls regularly.
• Washes windows at reasonable heights throughout the community.
• Keeps utility and storage rooms in clean and orderly condition.
• Disinfects and sterilizes equipment and supplies.
• Stocks cleaning cart with supplies.
• Empties wastebaskets, and transports trash and waste to disposal area.
• Ensures trash and dumpster areas are clean; reports issues promptly.
• Reports resident issues or changes in health or living status promptly.
• Reports potentially unsafe conditions or maintenance related issues promptly to Supervisor.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
• Connect and help residents transition from home to community through thoughtful engagement at every level of interaction.
• Arrives to work on time.
• Absence and tardiness are minimal.
• Appearance is neat, clean, and according to dress code.
• Observes safety and security procedures.
• Uses equipment and materials properly.
• Ability to work varied schedules to include weekends, evenings, and holidays.
