Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing units in absence of unit managers.
• Calculate and monitor Hours Per Patient Day and patient acuity for staffing under unit manager supervision.
• Coordinate staffing and assignments with nursing personnel and other managers to improve patient flow and admissions/discharges.
• Receive shift handovers and brief oncoming shift; perform rounds.
• Maintain open dialogue with unit managers and stakeholders.
• Follow safety policies and ensure compliance with regulations.

Job Summary And Responsibilities

As our RN House Supervisor at CHI St. Alexius Health Dickinson, you will be a central orchestrator of care, empowering our frontline nursing teams to deliver exceptional patient experiences and drive operational excellence.

Your exceptional communication will shine in 1:1 interactions with physicians, consultants, and family advocates, as you skillfully navigate challenging conversations to ensure optimal performance and patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for supervising nursing units in the absence of unit managers.
• Active participant of calculating and monitoring Hours Per Patient Days along with acuity of patients, in relationship to staffing units accurately, safely, and cost effective under the direction of the unit manager.
• Utilizes nursing personnel effectively, assists with required scheduling, staffing and assignments, and collaborates with other department managers/supervisors/charge to ensure smooth coordination of services to patients, enhances patient flow within the facility, and efficient admission/discharge/transfer processes
• Receives report from off-going shift, give report to oncoming shift, and makes rounds
• Open on-going dialog with unit managers.
• Practices safe work habits, compliance with safety rules and regulations, and adheres to safety policies

Job Requirements

Required

• Associate Of Nursing (ADN)
• 4-6 years RN Experience
• Registered Nurse licesned by the state of North Dakota
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Preferred

• Bachelors Of Nursing (BSN)
• 1-3 years Leadership experience
• Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC)

Pay Range

$37.40 - $55.63 /hour
