Job summary

CommonSpirit Health's CHI St. Alexius Health Dickinson is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver compassionate, high-quality care in a fast-paced hospital setting. You will perform comprehensive assessments, implement care plans, and collaborate across disciplines to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

The role includes up-to-date certifications and a $20,000 sign-on incentive for eligible new hires. Ideal candidates will hold an ADN (BSN preferred), ND RN license, BLS, ACLS, and pediatric ACLS

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing (ADN) is required.
• ND RN license required.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association.
• ACLS within 12 months.
• Pediatric ACLS within 12 months.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identifies patient care requirements by establishing rapport with patients and others to understand needs and plan care.
• Provides emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and families.

• Identifies patient care requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual patients and other persons in a position to understand care requirements; initiates plan of care
• Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families
• Promotes patient’s independence by establishing patient care goals; teaching patient, friends, and family to understand condition, medications, and self-care skills; answering questions
• Assures quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards; measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and standards; making or recommending necessary adjustments; following hospital and nursing division’s philosophies and standards of care set by board of nursing, state nurse practice act, and other governing agency regulations
• Resolves patient problems and needs by utilizing multidisciplinary team strategies
• Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations

• Registered Nurse: ND
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA)

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (ACLS) 12 - months
