Cayuga Health in Ithaca, NY, is seeking a Part-Time House Supervisor to oversee nursing care across assigned clinical areas on each shift. You will advocate for resources, promote safe, compassionate care, and ensure adherence to practice standards onsite at Cayuga Medical Center.

You will lead a nursing team, collaborate with physicians and staff, respond to emergencies, and drive operational excellence through planning and quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing required.
• Valid NYS RN license required.
• BLS, ACLS and/or PALS certifications (can be obtained during orientation).

House Supervisor

House Supervisors are accountable for care delivered in several clinical areas on a given assigned shift. House Supervisors advocate for and allocate available resources to promote efficient, effective, safe and compassionate care based on current standards of practice.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Ensure high-quality nursing care delivery, regulatory compliance, and positive patient outcomes.
• Lead, coach, schedule, and support nursing staff while ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing leaders, patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality care and resolve concerns.
• Respond to emergencies, critical events, staffing challenges, and patient placement needs while providing clinical leadership.
• Drive operational excellence through strategic planning, problem-solving, quality improvement initiatives, and customer service standards.

Required Skills and Experience

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing
• Valid NYS RN License
• BLS, ACLS and/or PALS (can be obtained during orientation)

Preferred Skills and Experience

• BSN
• 2 years Leadership experience

Physical Requirements

• Walking and standing for long periods of time, lifting, carrying supplies and equipment.

Location, Travel and Shift Requirements

• Less than 25% travel can be expected in this role

Pay Range Disclosure

• Standard Rate of $47.52 - $57.85 plus benefits
• $15k Sign on Bonus!
