Cayuga Health in Ithaca, NY, is seeking a House Supervisor to oversee nursing care across clinical areas on a given shift and to allocate resources for safe, efficient care.

You will lead and coach nursing staff, collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, and respond to emergencies while ensuring regulatory compliance and quality outcomes. This part-time, onsite role offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must hold NYS RN license and active nursing license in good standing.
• BLS, ACLS and/or PALS certification required or can be obtained during orientation.
• BSN not required but preferred.

House Supervisor

House Supervisors are accountable for care delivered in several clinical areas on a given assigned shift. House Supervisors advocate for and allocate available resources to promote efficient, effective, safe and compassionate care based on current standards of practice.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Ensure high-quality nursing care delivery, regulatory compliance, and positive patient outcomes.
• Lead, coach, schedule, and support nursing staff while ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing leaders, patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality care and resolve concerns.
• Respond to emergencies, critical events, staffing challenges, and patient placement needs while providing clinical leadership.
• Drive operational excellence through strategic planning, problem-solving, quality improvement initiatives, and customer service standards.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing
• Valid NYS RN License
• BLS, ACLS and/or PALS (can be obtained during orientation)

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• BSN
• 2 years Leadership experience
• Remember: A candidate is not required to have a preferred skill to be considered qualified for a role.

Physical Requirements:

• Walking and standing for long periods of time, lifting, carrying supplies and equipment.

Location, Travel and Shift Requirements:

• Onsite at Cayuga Medical Center
• Less than 25% travel can be expected in this role
• Part Time Days

Pay Range Disclosure:

Standard Rate of $47.52 - $57.85 plus benefits $15k Sign on Bonus!
