Hilton Garden Inn Detroit Downtown in Detroit, MI is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping/Lobby Attendant to maintain cleanliness and safety of guest areas and public spaces. Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent and CPR/First Aid certification. Prior housekeeping experience is preferred; on-site work requires lifting up to 50 lbs and ability to stand

This role will provide amazing guest service while maintaining the full operational functionality of the building. You and the entire engineering team are responsible for the repair, service, and preventative maintenance of all things within and outside of the hotel building. Taking pride and passion for your work and working within a team.

Essential Job Functions:

• Thoroughly clean sinks, toilets, urinals, mirrors, tiles, counters, walls, stalls, vents and/or floors with cleaning agents by extending arms over head to reach all above areas. Adhere to cleaning procedures and instructions for use of cleaning agents.


• Thoroughly dust all furniture, pictures, and shelves, extending arms overhead, bending and stooping as needed.


• Thoroughly clean and polish all metal surfaces, applying pressure in repeated motion.


• Clean ashtrays and empty trash.


• Report all suspicious persons or activities, hazardous conditions, etc. to Safety/Security Department.


• Provide general public assistance, instruction and/or guidance for guest and employee safety in fire or other emergency situations.


• Other duties as assigned such as assisting room attendants or house person when requested

Physical Demands:

• Lift, carry, push, or pull heavy loads weighing up to 50 lbs


• Extend arms overhead, scrub, bend, and stoop for extended periods and work in confined spaces

Qualifications:

Education:

• High school diploma or its equivalent

Experience:

• Previous Housekeeping House Person or Lobby Attendant experience preferred.


• CPR/ First Aid Certification required
