Job summary

Brighter Day, Inc. in Enid, OK is seeking a compassionate House Manager to lead direct care for individuals with developmental disabilities in home settings. You will supervise staff, support daily living activities, and promote independence and a safe, caring environment.

The role requires strong communication, ability to work independently, and commitment to person-centered care. Weekend orientation and on-call coverage are part of the schedule.

Qualifications

At Brighter Day, we believe that people with developmental disabilities are people first. We will always place the person before the program. Brighter Day is looking for compassionate and caring individuals to join our team as a House Manager Direct Care Professional to provide care to the individuals we support. You will work in home settings managing staff, supporting individuals with daily living activities, participating in recreational activities, and fostering positive relationships.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• We are looking for enthusiastic, professional, caring people who know the value of communication.
• Flexible and willing to adapt to change. The level of support may vary depending on the needs of the individual.
• Must be 18 years of age with a valid driver's license and automobile insurance. Must be able to pass a background check.
• Must be able to attend the paid 2-week orientation M-F 9:30am-5:00pm.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities
• Assist with activities of daily living

HOURS NEEDED:

• 3:00 PM-11:00 PM, Plus on-call 24/7 - During School
• 7:00 AM-3:00 PM, Plus on-call 24/7 - During Summer

SKILLS NEEDED:

• Experience in providing care to individuals with developmental disabilities or similar populations preferred but not required
• Ability to work effectively with people with diverse needs and backgrounds
• Strong communication skills to interact with individuals, families, and team members
• Ability to work independently in a fast paced, team orientated environment
