Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a shift lead to supervise personal attendants in community homes, coaching staff, and coordinating coverage. You’ll ensure IPP and behavior support plans are followed while maintaining boundaries and confidentiality.

The role emphasizes health and safety, scheduling, documentation, and effective communication with families, supervisors, and providers. A CA driver license and CPR/First Aid are required; leadership background is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 6 months of experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Previous leadership or lead staff experience preferred.
• Valid California driver's license.
• Acceptable driving record.
• Current DOJ fingerprint clearance.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.
• Medication Administration training (if required).
• Ability to complete all required company training.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary shift lead for assigned home(s).
• Model professional, ethical, and person-centered support.
• Provide coaching, guidance, and mentoring to personal attendants.
• Communicate staffing concerns, client issues, and operational needs to field supervisors.
• Monitor staff performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Assist with shadow training and ongoing training of new employees.
• Promote teamwork and a positive work environment.
• Provide behavioral support consistent with IPP, behavior support plans, health care plans, and goals.
• Support individuals with ADLs including hygiene, bathing, grooming, dressing, meal prep, medication assistance, household management, and community integration.
• Promote independence, dignity, choice, and self-determination.
• Implement positive behavior support strategies and maintain professional boundaries.
• Work primarily in community-based homes; may involve varying weather, pets, and challenging behaviors.
• Respond to emergencies as needed and monitor health/well-being.
• Administer or assist with medications as authorized and trained.
• Ensure CPR/First Aid certification is current.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and confidential client records.
• Complete daily tracking notes and required documentation.
• Coordinate client appointments and transportation as assigned.
• Complete quality assurance checks and assist with scheduling and shift coverage.
• Provide accurate shift reports and follow-up communication.
• Lead day-to-day supervision without authority to hire/terminate unless delegated.
