Job description

Reports to: Executive Housekeeping. Position is non-exempt.

THE ROLE

The House Attendant reports to the Executive Housekeeper and is a key team player. They assist with delivering supplies needed to clean guest rooms, help stock carts, and perform labor-intensive tasks such as flipping mattresses, hanging pictures, and moving furniture or debris. The Public Space/House Attendant also restocks housekeeping shelves and maintains cleanliness in common areas like the lobby, restrooms, rooftop, and parts of the restaurant. The role requires being detail-oriented, customer service skills, basic cleaning knowledge, and the ability to lift/move sizable items.

This position is vital as it interacts with guests and staff alike. Strong interpersonal skills and adaptability are essential.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Uphold the company’s principles of People, Place, and Character.
• Respect guest privacy and exercise discretion.
• Assist in cleaning guest rooms behind the scenes.
• Clean hallways, floors, doorways, and remove trash.
• Support housekeepers with linen and other tasks during shifts.
• Follow safety protocols during cleaning and stocking.
• Collaborate with leadership to provide excellent guest and team experiences.
• Maintain organization and adhere to health, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Work efficiently to keep spaces clean and organized for guests.
• Participate in team meetings and provide feedback for improvement.
• Maintain communication with housekeeping leadership about priorities.
• Report any damages or substandard conditions to the appropriate departments.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
• Availability to work 4-5 days per week, including weekends and holidays.
• Passion for cleanliness.
• Basic cleaning knowledge and safety awareness.
• English proficiency for communication and instructions.
• Interpersonal skills to interact with staff at all levels.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Capability to lift up to 50 lbs. and, with assistance, up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to stand or walk for an entire 8-hour shift.

Pay Range: $19 - $20 per hour, based on experience.
