Basic Function
The Hourly Manager delivers the Customer Promise through direction of crew, customer service, and operations during assigned shifts. The Hourly Manager is responsible for restaurant operations during shifts when the RM is not present.

Responsibilities

1. Leads Shift Operations: Directs efficient preparation and sale of products, ensuring prompt customer delivery within speed of service guidelines.
   • Provides production direction to crew clearly and concisely.
   • Sets an example through hard work to ensure smooth production.
   • Identifies and solves bottlenecks to increase speed of service.
   • Demonstrates patience and positivity while delegating tasks.
2. Leads Customer Promise Delivery: Motivates crew to exceed customer expectations with friendly service in clean surroundings.
   • Creates a professional impression with customers and crew.
   • Addresses customer feedback and resolves complaints promptly.
   • Ensures crew takes pride in delivering the Customer Promise.
   • Demonstrates flexibility to meet team needs.
3. Builds Crew Talent: Trains and motivates crew members during shifts to enhance results.
   • Delegates tasks encouraging teamwork.
   • Assists in training crew on workstations.
   • Sets challenging goals and ensures accountability.
4. Assists with Restaurant Compliance: Ensures adherence to regulations, safety, and policies.
   • Maintains cleanliness and sanitation standards.
   • Reports violations and performs short-term solutions.
   • Motivates compliance with safety and loss control procedures.
   • Maintains shift compliance reliability.
5. Assists with Profit and Loss: Follows marketing, cash control, and inventory procedures.
   • Completes shift checklists for cash, inventory, and scheduling.
   • Seeks coaching to understand financial controls.
   • Removes barriers and provides resources for performance.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient in English communication.
• Basic Math Skills.
• Completion or willingness to complete internal certification programs such as Basic Management Training and Serve Safe.
