Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs Steel is currently hiring Hourly Maintenance Employees at our Middletown, Ohio operation. You will perform a variety of maintenance functions throughout the plant, using standard tools and overhead cranes as required.

Starting hourly rate is $36.12 with potential for additional earnings including Sunday premium pay, shift differential, and holiday pay; benefits include health insurance, retirement plan, education assistance, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Successful completion of Maintenance Assessment test.
• Be 18 or older and have the legal right to work in the U.S.
• A minimum of three years of professional repair and troubleshooting experience with certification from an accredited school/program OR Completed formal apprentice program.
• Mechanical/troubleshooting experience; Electrical – 120v min; prefer up to 480v; AC/DC experience.
• Hydraulic – valving, piping, pumps, motors; controls system experience a plus.
• Welding – Arc/Stick; Prefer mig, tig, 3G, 4G, & 6G experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform all maintenance functions (mechanical and electrical) to maintain operating and service equipment.
• Operate equipment in conjunction with repairs and assist in operation functions to maintain efficiency and continuity.
• Other duties as assigned.
