Description

This position provides custodial and personal care services to clients contracted with Assisting Hands, under the direction of the Staffing Coordinator and in compliance with the Plan of Care.

Education

High School Diploma/GED required.

Qualifications

• At least one (1) year of proven work experience as a Caregiver or in a related role is required.
• Experience in a home or long-term care setting is preferred.
• Must be comfortable around pets.

Reports to

Staffing Coordinator

Primary Duties

1. Grocery shopping for clients in accordance with their dietary needs and preferences.
2. Maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment within the client’s residence, including light housekeeping tasks such as straightening living and sleeping areas, cleaning the bathroom, doing laundry, and washing dishes.
3. Providing nutritional support and meal assistance where applicable.

Infection Control & Compliance

Adheres to the agency’s infection control policies, including proper handwashing per CDC guidelines. Follows all policies and procedures outlined in the agency’s Policy and Procedure Manual, Caregiver Handbook, and Caregiver Training Manual.

Thursday (10:00 AM - 3:00 PM)
