Job summary

Arizona Electric Power Cooperative, Inc. (AEPCO) is seeking an experienced Hotstick Journeyman Lineman to join our Transmission Line team.

This role focuses on maintenance, modification, installation, inspection, switching, and live-line work on high-voltage facilities with safety and reliability as priorities. The ideal candidate has completed a four-year apprenticeship recognized by the State Apprenticeship Council and has experience in hot line work, with the ability to train others and

Qualifications

• Completion of a four-year apprenticeship program recognized by the State Apprenticeship Council.
• Willing to perform maintenance on a call-out basis.
• Ability to train and orient other personnel in transmission line maintenance.
• Ability to obtain Arizona Commercial Drivers License (Class A) within one year from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service all transmission lines owned or controlled by the Cooperative.
• Perform preventative maintenance inspections to locate potential problems.
• Keep accurate logs and records of work on transmission lines.
• Maintain equipment and housekeeping for safety and efficiency.
• Perform switching on the electric system per procedures.
• Perform live line work as assigned.
• Assist in construction and maintenance work.
• Act as a technical consultant to Managers and engineers during inspections.
• Operate light and heavy mobile line equipment safely.
• Complete other related duties as required.
