Job summary

Arizona Electric Power Cooperative, Inc. (AEPCO) is seeking an experienced Hotstick Journeyman Lineman to join the Transmission Line team.

The role supports maintenance, installation, inspection, switching, and live-line work on high-voltage transmission facilities, with emphasis on safety, reliability, and operational efficiency. The successful candidate will complete a four-year apprenticeship, have at least two years of hot line experience, be prepared for call-out maintenance, and obtain a

Qualifications

Completion of a four (4) year apprenticeship program recognized by the State Apprenticeship Council.
At least two (2) years experience in hot line work; extended on-the-job experience may substitute.
Willingness to perform maintenance on a call-out basis.
Must obtain Arizona CDL Class A within one year from date of hire.

Responsibilities

Maintain transmission lines owned or controlled by the Cooperative or interconnecting systems.
Perform preventative maintenance inspections to locate potential problems and ensure system integrity.
Maintain accurate logs and records of work on transmission lines and inventory.
Conduct switching on the electric system according to established procedures.
Perform live-line work and assist in construction/maintenance as directed.
Serve as a technical consultant to Managers and engineering staff.
