Job summary

Sage Hospitality Group is seeking a Staff Accountant to join Indigo Raleigh in North Carolina. The role covers Income Audit, AR/AP, payroll, and cashiering functions to ensure accurate financial records and timely reporting.

The ideal candidate will have 1 year of experience in a hotel setting, solid understanding of hospitality accounting practices, and proficiency in Excel/Word. Prior experience with Opera Cloud PMS is a plus, and the position is on-site at the new Indigo Raleigh property.

Qualifications

• One to two years of post-high school education.
• One year of experience in a similar role; accounting background in a hotel environment preferred.
• Requires knowledge of accounting practices in hospitality and the ability to compile facts and figures.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Excel and Word) and familiarity with hotel systems such as Opera Cloud PMS.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Income Audit, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll System, and General Cashier functions accurately.
• Balance entries and reconcile bank statements and department records.
• Prepare payroll and daily revenue reports and provide discrepancies and recommendations to management.
• Collaborate with night auditors and department managers to maximize revenue and ensure accurate postings.
