Hamilton Hotel DC is seeking a Staff Accountant to support daily accounting and financial operations on-site in Washington, DC. You will handle accounts receivable, revenue controls, cash reconciliations, and month-end close support while collaborating with hotel operations and finance leadership.

The role requires 1–3 years of accounting experience, hospitality experience preferred, and familiarity with Opera PMS and Hilton systems is a plus. Competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 1–3 years of accounting experience; hospitality experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with Opera PMS and Hilton systems a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Process accounts receivable billing, including direct bill, group, and miscellaneous charges.
• Assist with Hilton Grand Vacations (HGV) related billing and reconciliation items.
• Monitor and resolve chargebacks.
• Perform daily on-site credit card reconciliations.
• Prepare daily cash and check deposits for Brinks armored transport.
• Review Night Audit shift reports for accuracy.
• Manage House Accounts in Opera including month-end checkout and reactivation.
• Prepare journal entries related to House Account activity.
• Monitor group commissions and obtain DOSM approvals.
• Assist with month-end close and audits.
