Qualifications

As a Shuttle Driver/Bell-person at the Omaha Marriott Downtown, you'll warmly escort guests to and from their accommodations, assist with luggage, and ensure they are fully acquainted with their room and its features, in a friendly and courteous manner.

What will you be doing?

• Greet guests with friendly and sincere welcome.
• Retrieve guest items from cars, buses, vans, and carts. Grasp, lift, carry, and/or load luggage and packages onto a bell cart to transport items throughout the hotel to designated rooms. Navigate the bell cart through public areas, guest room corridors, and to elevators.
• Drive guests to approved destinations in the company van and perform other driving errands as assigned.
• Listen and respond to guest inquiries. Answer questions and offer assistance by giving accurate information.
• Always maintain a professional image while at work.
• Monitor company van maintenance requirements and communicate needs to management.
• Maintain all cleanliness and sanitation along with personal hygiene.
• Other duties as assigned.

What do you bring to the role?

• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Ability to understand and follow written and/or verbal instructions.
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally in English.
• Ability to read English language sufficiently to ascertain information from luggage tags and claim checks, and to write numbers and names on claim checks and rooming lists.
• Ability to grasp, lift, and/or carry or otherwise move packages and boxes and luggage up to 45 lbs continuously throughout the shift.
• Ability to stand, walk, and/or sit and continuously perform essential job functions.
• Sufficient manual dexterity in one hand to be able to load and unload luggage.
• Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, and walking significant distances on property.
