Job summary

Omaha Marriott Downtown is seeking a Shuttle Driver/Bell-person to warmly escort guests, assist with luggage, and familiarize guests with their room and hotel amenities. The role emphasizes friendly service and safety in a busy downtown hotel.

You will drive guests to approved destinations, respond to inquiries, and maintain a professional image while supporting the guest experience. This position is located in Omaha, NE and pays a base rate with tips.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
• Ability to understand and follow written or verbal instructions.
• Ability to communicate verbally in English.
• Ability to read English to identify information from luggage tags and claim checks.
• Ability to lift or move luggage up to 45 lbs continuously.
• Ability to stand, walk, or sit and perform essential job functions.
• Sufficient dexterity to load/unload luggage.
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and walk significant distances on property.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a friendly welcome.
• Retrieve items from cars and transport luggage using a bell cart.
• Drive guests to destinations in the company van and run errands as assigned.
• Answer guest inquiries and provide accurate information.
• Maintain a professional image at all times.
• Monitor and communicate vehicle maintenance needs to management.
• Keep cleanliness and personal hygiene standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our dynamic team and contribute to the exclusive luxury and outstanding service that define our hotel. As a Shuttle Driver/Bell-person at the Omaha Marriott Downtown, you'll warmly escort guests to and from their accommodations, assist with luggage, and ensure they are fully acquainted with their room and its features, in a friendly and courteous manner.

What will you be doing?

• Greet guests with friendly and sincere welcome.
• Retrieve guest items from cars, busses, vans, and carts. Grasp, lift, carry and/or load luggage and packages onto a bell cart to transport items throughout hotel to designated room. Navigate bell cart through public areas, guest room corridors and to elevators.
• Drive guests to approved destinations in company van and perform other driving errands as assigned.
• Listen and respond to guest inquires. Answer questions and offer assistance giving accurate information.
• Always maintain a professional image while at work.
• Monitor company van maintenance requirements and communicate needs to management.
• Maintain all cleanliness and sanitation along with personal hygiene.
• Other duties as assigned.

What do you bring to the role?

• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Ability to understand and follow written and or verbal instructions.
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally in English.
• Ability to read English language sufficiently to ascertain information from luggage tags and claim checks to write numbers and names on claim checks and rooming lists.
• Ability to grasp, lift, and or carry or otherwise move packages and boxes and luggage up to 45lbs continuously throughout shift.
• Ability to stand, walk, and or sit and continuously perform essential job functions.
• Sufficient manual dexterity in one hand to be able to load and unload luggage.
• Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, and walking significant distances on property.
