Job summary

InterContinental Times Square, managed by Highgate Hotels, seeks a Security Officer to protect guests and property, patrol premises, and respond to emergencies. The role requires staying vigilant, maintaining logs, and coordinating with hotel staff to ensure safety.

The position is full-time hourly (Temp) in New York, NY, with responsibilities including access control, incident reporting, and guest assistance as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; experience in hotel or related field preferred.
• Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
• Heavy work - Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds frequently to move objects.
• Ability to stand during entire shift.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with guests and staff.

Responsibilities

• Use proper radio etiquette at all times.
• Maintain visual contact with Front Desk and lobby when not on property walks.
• Maintain and review daily activity log.
• Provide escorts and access control for secured areas.
• Respond to emergencies and assist guests as needed.
• Investigate incidents and report findings clearly.
