Job summary

The Westin Sarasota in Florida is seeking a Security Officer responsible for controlling access, patrolling premises, and reporting safety concerns to management. You will document all security events and assist with safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Monitor/control access to hotel facilities and entrances.
• Patrol front, back of house and exterior areas; report hazards to management.
• Maintain visitor sign-in/out logs and issue temporary passes.
• Inspect packages; deny unauthorized items entering the property.
• Document security issues in reports and logs.
• Assist in safety-related maintenance requests and storeroom entries when needed.
• Enforce hotel rules and key control policies with team members.
• Interact with guests courteously and gather information during incidents.
• Coordinate with security and police in absence of management when required.
• Support evacuation procedures and safety plans during emergencies.
