Job summary

Palms Casino Resort is seeking a Security Officer responsible for ensuring the safety and security of guests and team members through proactive, professional service and rapid response to emergencies. You will help deter crime, monitor entrances, and coordinate with fellow staff to maintain a secure environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have a government-issued ID.
• Must obtain a TAM Card.
• Must obtain a Nevada Gaming License.
• Must be able to use a Fire Extinguisher.
• Must have a valid driver's license if you are selected as a Security Bike Officer.
• Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.

Responsibilities

• Ensure establishment and surrounding premises are protected and provide public safety.
• Check interior and exterior for unusual activity and speak with occupants/visitors to ensure order.
• Identify locations and times when incidents or criminal activities may have occurred.
• Respond to calls outside in inclement weather.
• Use professional communication to interact with guests of diverse backgrounds.
• Complete investigations by analyzing information and speaking with persons.
• Prepare written reports per departmental procedures and provide oral updates as needed.
• Assist in emergencies by securing scenes, advising personnel, summoning responders, and guiding evacuations.
• Provide first aid according to established protocol.
• Disseminate information about policies to guests and maintain good relations with internal clients and law enforcement.
