Courtyard by Marriott Waterbury Downtown in Waterbury, CT is seeking a Sales Manager to drive hotel sales and revenue growth. The role requires building relationships with corporate and travel-industry accounts and coordinating with multiple departments to deliver a superior guest experience.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in hotel sales/marketing, 1+ year in a sales management role, and a proven track record in sales.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of work experience in hotel sales/marketing.
• 1+ years of work experience in a Sales management position.
• 1+ years of work experience with the brand.
• Proven successful track record in sales.
• Must have a valid Driver License and own transportation.
• Occasional local travel; potential national travel for meetings.

Responsibilities

• Solicit, negotiate and book new and repeat business to maximize room revenue.
• Develop and implement a sales plan and monitor results against budget.
• Coordinate customer specs with other departments and respond to issues promptly.
• Analyze market trends and competition to shape plans and programs.
• Manage department operations in line with company policies.
• Maintain accurate records, attend trade shows, and conduct property tours.
• Support special projects and participate in committees as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
